President’s Message

Welcome to the New England Crisis Negotiator’s Association (NECNA) website. NECNA is an organization dedicated to serving the needs of law enforcement, corrections officers and health professionals working in the field of crisis negotiations. This association is representative of those professionals in the six New England states. Our members represent those extraordinary individuals who have volunteered to take on the additional challenge of assisting their agencies in defusing crisis situations. This organization, with the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, provides our members with regional training and organizes an annual conference. We are also proud to be a member of the National Council of Negotiation Associations (NCNA). NCNA is a collaborative which provides us with a collective national voice.

The NECNA Board is grateful to our members, and their agencies, for their continued support. Only through our shared knowledge and experiences can all of us increase our effectiveness to be better negotiators. Every life is valued and our resolve and support for each other is equally important.

During the past several months, we have undertaken a major change in our web design and upgraded our website. We trust the enhancements made will prove to be a beneficial investment for our membership. Although some areas of our site are still under construction, please take the time to explore our new design. As always, we welcome any comments or suggestions you may have.
