Welcome to the official website of the New England Crisis Negotiator’s Association (NECNA). Our purpose as outlined in the Bylaws, is "to assist in the sharing of information, techniques, training and equipment technology pertinent to Crisis Negotiations". To that end, or annual conference is held in late April of each year. Additional training is held regionally throughout New England.
It is a pleasure to serve as president of this outstanding organization. We were incorporated in 2001 and are a founding member of the National Council of Negotiation Associations (NCNA). Our goal, in concert with the other members of NCNA is to advance the field of Crisis Negotiations nationally.
Our organization is only as good as it’s membership. Once again, I am requesting your input in all aspects of our association. We continue to seek your assistance in the form of call-outs. Please forward a brief summary (or lengthy one if you choose) of any call-outs you have been involved with, so that we may add them to the "Incidents" link (These may be sent to Bob Laprel at robert.laprel@pol.state.ma.us). Also, do not hesitate to contact your regional representative or any board member with any questions or suggestions for training or website improvements.
Thank you for all that you do in the field of "crisis negotiations" and for the lives you save. As always, I may be reached at:
